1. Q. What does it cost? A. There is no cost for any @swimwac.com email address. They are free with the team website to whoever we want to give them to. 2. Q. Are they for Parents or swimmers? A. Any swimmer or parent who wants to have their own email address is fine with the club. 3. Q. Are there any email restrictions? A. No. There is no restriction to any size of mailbox or attachments like some of the other services such as AOL, YAHOO, HOTMAIL, and WIDOMAKER have. 4. Q. If I am having a problem reading the WAC Splash properly, will this solve the problem. A. It might. Some members are having problems viewing the WAC Splash with the color and pictures as it is intended. We believe the problems is either (a) you need to upgrade your mail viewing software (i.e. AOL version) or (b) your mail services (i.e. AOL, Widomaker, Hotmail) has restrictions on the type of email you receive and is not allowing the pictures and colors to come through to you properly. 5. Q. What’s the benefit of the @swimwac.com email address to me? A. Personally, I have several mailboxes. Since I use Outlook, when I ask for it to check for my mail, it pulls main from multiple email boxes at the same time. 6. Q. If I use AOL and don’t want to go through anymore steps to get my emails, what can I do? A. The best solution is to setup the new @swimwac.com address that automatically forwards to your current AOL mail box. That way, you get all your mail in your current AOL mail box, but people aren’t sending the emails directly to that address. that forward to my main mailbox. 7. Q. What’s the difference between an @yahoo.com and some of the other popular email addresses and @swimwac.com? A. None….except you can guarantee WAC will never sell your email address to the junk mail people. 8. Q. Why should I have an @swimwac.com email address if I already have one? A. Privacy and the convenience of separating your emails from different organizations. WAC doesn’t care if you do or don’t have an @swimwac.com email address. All WAC wants to accomplish is to be able to easily and quickly be able to get information out to our members without having to do as many handouts at practice or mailing things. Mail is expensive for the club and we would like to avoid wasting that cost. 9. Q. How do I get an @swimwac.com email address? A. For right now, just email Trooper Earle at ‘webmaster@swimwac.com’ with the address you want set up. 10. Q. When will the @swimwac.com email addresses be active? A. It should be active within 2 weeks. We are letting everyone know now in case they want a new @swimwac.com email address before we publish the Membership Directory next week.
