Philosophy

The philosophy of the Williamsburg Aquatic Club is to develop the swimmer to the highest level that his/her interest and abilities can achieve. The program focuses on a common goal: to develop a well rounded individual - through self-improvement, learning the value of hard work, goal setting and good sportsmanship.

The program is flexible to meet the needs of the swimmer. Your swimmer should be able to participate in other activities and sports during their development.

Facilities

Practice sessions are conducted in the James City Community Center and Eastern State Hospital pool. In a co-sponsorship agreement with James City County Parks and Recreation Dept., WAC promotes the sport of swimming by contributing to a County Scholarship Fund for learning-to-swim and other aquatic programs.

In addition, through a partnership with Eastern State Hospital (ESH), Williamsburg Aquatic Club installed an air-inflated bubble over the ESH outdoor pool, allowing year around use for the Club, the Hospital, and other community organizations.
